It’s time to start collecting shoe boxes filled with gifts for children all around the world. Information may be found on the SEEDS table in the Foyer. Please have your show boxes ready and brought to church by November 11th.

What an awesome opportunity for L.B.C. to Promote the Gospel

Online registration for SEEDS is now available.  Please register each child individually.

SEEDS is a new ministry for the family to grow together in the gospel.

Join us Wednesday, September 2nd from 6:30 – 7:45 PM This will be our opening night to kick off our SEEDS ministry.  Invite your friends and neighbors!

Students (9^th – 12^th grade)

SEEDS and JH Wed. Ministry

Serving in this ministry requires the following in addition to responsibilities under the specific area of service:

· A 9 month (Sept-May) commitment. Adjustments will be made for those who are involved in sports, drama, or other outside church activities.

· Attend August 23 SEEDS training and 2 Ovation events during the year (in fall and spring – dates TBA)

Specific areas of service:

Small Group Assistant

Becomes the primary model for a group of up to 10 children and encourages spiritual growth through relationships, discussion and other small group activities.

· Assist in leading in small group of children each Wed.

· Engage in 10 min debrief each Wed.

· Assist in other duties for SEEDS ministry (i.e. greeting, registration, setup/takedown, etc.)

Drama

Works with a team of students and adults to perform a skit/drama at least monthly; possibly weekly.

· Attend weekly team practices – TBA

· Be prepared for your part of the performance (i.e. memorizing lines)

· Assist in other duties for SEEDS ministry (i.e. greeting, registration, setup/takedown, etc.)

Music

Work with a team of students and adults to lead and perform music for worship element of large gathering.

· Attend practices to be determined by leader

· Provide your own instrument

· Assist in other duties for SEEDS ministry (i.e. greeting, registration, setup/takedown, etc.)

Art/Creative element

Work with a team of adults and students to design, create sets, and visuals for the large group time, promotion and other ways we can enhance the ministry visually.

· Build and design sets, time and when will be determined by the Creative Arts Director

· Help with setup and takedown of sets each Wed.

· Assist in other duties for SEEDS ministry (i.e. greeting, registration, setup/takedown, etc.)

Media

Assist in running sound and computer needs for the Large Group time.

· Duties will be assigned by the Media Director

· Assist in other duties for SEEDS ministry (i.e. greeting, registration, setup/takedown, etc.)

Childcare

Assist with other students and adults in providing needed childcare.

7-8^th Grade Wed. Ministry Environment

Be a part of a team that leads in a variety of ways (i.e. MC, game leader, music, media, small group leader/assistant, hosting, art, etc.)

· Meets weekly with Wed. Min Directors (Justin and Lindsey) to plan and pray for coming Wednesday night ministry.

We are looking forward to the privilege of serving the families of our church and our community through our new SEEDS ministry. A key to our success in reaching families will be the faithful service of many volunteers. Please prayerfully consider the opportunities offered below to see how you can be involved in promoting the gospel to our community. This will be a September to May program. Feel free to take a look at the seeds website or visit the table in the foyer for more information.

• Small Group Leader – leads the same group of up to 10 children in a small group environment; encourages spiritual growth through relationships, discussion, and other small group activities
• Classroom Leader – provides leadership and support to a team of Small Group Leaders; leads Wrap Up at the end of small group time; leads classroom-wide activities; assigns children to small groups
• Parent Connection Assistant – greets families as they arrive; participates in Parent Connection on a weekly basis by establishing relationships with parents; assists with setup and clean up
• Creative Arts Team Member – assists the Creative Arts Facilitator in creating set and decorations for other areas as needed (Parent Connection, Registration Table, etc.); assists in creating props needed for monthly Seeds
• Drama Team Member – participates on a team of teens and adults to perform drama during Power Up (weekly family worship time, may not perform every week)
